Artichokes are an Antioxidant Powerhouse
Artichokes are full of nutrients. All you have to do to prepare them is trim the leaves (horizontally) and boil them in water for 1 hour (turning every 15 minutes).
When finished cooking, drain the water and let cool before eating.
Pull off a petal and scrape the tender part of the leaf with your teeth to eat. The stem and heart of the artichoke may be eaten, but the leaves and hair should not.
