Vegan Tarter Sauce
This tartar sauce goes great with fish, but can accompany other snacks/appetizers/entrées as well such as celery (or other veggies), wings, and sandwiches.
Materials:
cutting board
sharp knife (to dice pickle)
measuring cups
measuring spoons
small dish
spoon (to mix and serve)
Ingredients*
1/2 cup Vegenaise (vegan mayo)**
1/8-1/4 teaspoon Yellow Mustard***
2 teaspoons Dill Weed (dried herb)
1 Lemon (use juice from 1/2 of a lemon)
2 Dill Pickle Spears
1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder
Salt and Pepper (to taste)
*We used organic ingredients.
**Follow Your Heart Vegenaise works well!
***May be left out
Directions:
Place 1/2 cup of vegenaise in small dish. Dice dill pickle spears and add to the dish. Add remaining ingredients and mix well with a spoon. Feel free to add more/use less of the ingredients and/or adjust it to your liking. This sauce goes great with Gardein Golden Fishless Filets along with extra lemon. Keep refrigerated and eat within 5-7 days. Enjoy!
