Popsicles and Creamsicles
With temperatures in the triple digits these popsicles and creamsicles are a great summer treat. We love them and they are kid approved!!
They are also very refreshing especially after working in the heat, exercising, and/or doing outside work.
Both are made with Axio red raspberry decaf. Axio is a dietary supplement mix that contains Niacin (as Nicotinic acid - a form of vitamin B3), vitamin B12, magnesium, and a proprietary blend that includes green tea. It is amazing for the brain, endurance training, and/or a boost to get you through the day (but not keep you up all night!)
If you are interested in a caffeinated version. There is caffeinated Axio available to make these popsicles/creamsicles as well. They come in different flavors!
By the way if your AC is broke in your car in the summer, these are even more needed!!
Popsicles Ingredients and Materials:
8 oz Filtered water
1 serving of Axio red raspberry decaf
Watermelon popsicle container (holds 4 popsicles)
Liquid measuring cup
Spoon
Directions:
Fill liquid measuring cup with water and pour Axio dietary supplement mix into the water. Mix with a spoon. Pour mixture into the popsicle container and freeze.
Creamsicle Ingredients* and Materials:
1 can Trader Joe’s organic full fat coconut milk (in the can)
3-5 large ice cubes
1/2 banana
Small apple (peeled)
1 serving of Axio red raspberry decaf
*you may use more ingredients if you are making larger creamsicles (such as the whole banana vs. 1/2)
Vitamix
2 large ice trays (or other creamsicle containers)
Cutting board, knife, and peeler (to cut and peel apple)
Press and Seal
Popsicle sticks
Directions:
Wash, cut and peel the apple. Place all the ingredients into the Vitamix and blend on variable until a smoothie like texture is achieved. Pour the mixture into the ice trays. Cover the filled ice trays with press and seal. Make slits in the press and seal with a knife on the covered ice tray in the middle of each covered ice cube space. Place one popsicle stick in each slit and push it all the way to the bottom. The press and seal should hold the stick in place, but may lean over and/or need something more to hold it up when you stick it in the freezer to freeze. Place filled ice trays in the freezer to freeze.
