How to Make Fresh Milled Flour w/o a Grain Mill
If you want to make your own flour and you do not own a grain mill, you can use a Vitamix or other high powered blender instead! Only blend 1 cup of grains at a time so you do not over work your blender. Hard red and hard white wheat berries are great for making bread. So if you are a sourdough fan, give the hard red or hard white wheat berries are try. The hard red wheat has a richer flavor and the hard white has a mild flavor. Both are high in nutrients and protein. Nutrient content is greatest when the fresh ground flour is used right away and declines after a few days.
