A Pesticide Alternative

Are you concerned about the commercial chemicals being sprayed on your lawn? If not, you should be aware that herbicides such as glyphosphate and insecticides such as organophosphates (chlorpyrifos, parathion, phosmet), carbamates, and pyrethroids (permethrin, cyhalothrin) have many side effects that negatively impact your health. Here is an alternative to spare yourself and others from the ill effects of pesticides:Make-It-SAFER Weed Killer:16 oz distilled white vinegar1/8 c salt5  drops of liquid dish soapCombine ALL ingredients in a spray bottle and generously spray on the weeds in your yard.  The weeds WILL brown and make it easier for you to remove them with your shovel or weed picker upper....[Note: A hammer and screw driver may help you dig up the roots better with your hand shovel and prevent the constant rubbing of your hands when using a shovel alone.]
