Almond Butter Made Easy

Maybe you’re are allergic to peanut butter and looking for an alternative…

or

Maybe you just love almonds…

Materials:
Cuisinart Food Processor
spatula
glass storage container(s)
large cookie sheet
parchment paper

Ingredients:
Organic almonds (1.7 lbs bag)

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Line a large cookie sheet (baking pan) with parchment paper.
3. Pour almonds onto cookie sheet and spread them out evenly.
4. Bake almonds for 10 minutes and flip them over at 5 minutes.
5. Remove roasted almonds from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
6. Transfer 1/2 the almonds to the small working bowl in your food processor and blend for 5-10 minutes on high (or until desired consistency is achieved). Stop the food processor intermittently and scrap the blended almonds off the sides of the food processor with a spatula and stir.
7. Repeat step 6 with the second half of roasted almonds.
8. Store almond butter in a glass container and keep in the refrigerator.

Enjoy on an A&J sandwich (vs. P&J), celery, apples, bagels/bread, or whatever suits your appetite!
